My Story

I was born in Zambia and have spent over thirty years living and working in the UK. Before becoming a therapist, my career in international civil service took me across the globe, allowing me to work in various Commonwealth countries throughout Africa, Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, India, and the Pacific. Through this work, I had the privilege of connecting with people from diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds. These experiences have not only enriched my life but have deeply shaped my approach to therapy, helping me cultivate a profound appreciation for the richness of human diversity.

I have always valued the unique perspectives and lived experiences of individuals from all levels of society, and these values are central to my work as both a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, as well as a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist. Over the course of my 20-year career, I focused on international development programmes that empowered youth, prevented gender-based violence, and promoted parliamentary democracy and good governance. These roles deepened my commitment to supporting others, addressing complex issues with empathy, and understanding.

My experience as a therapist spans a wide range of ages and life stages. I have provided therapy services to primary school children through Place2Be, supported young people in college with MIND in Enfield and Barnet, and volunteered with Positive East, HIV Charity. These opportunities have sharpened my listening skills and reinforced the importance of empathy, which I bring to every therapeutic relationship.

Whether in psychosexual therapy or relational integrative psychotherapy, my approach is centred on creating a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My personal and professional life experiences, combined with my work with people from all social classes and backgrounds, have equipped me to offer a unique level of empathy, acceptance, and understanding.
